The Company operates 4No. Movax Piling hammers [link to website] operated on hydraulic excavators. They are used for both temporary and permanent pile construction. In the case of Castlebar Bridge (see Projects), permanent steel bearing piles [80t swl] were driven from a platform placed in the river.

Piles are tested using static load tests in conjunction with dynamic testing.
