Project Description:
The site is located approximately 8km north east of Kilkieran, Co. Galway on the R340.
The Project included:
- The construction of a new single span precast / cast insitu concrete bridge.
- Excavation of 9,000m3 of unacceptable material, Placement of 12,000m3 of crushed stone fill.
- Installation of surface water sewer 115m of 900mm Diameter,90m of 600mm diameter, 30m of 225mm diameter, 100m of upvc watermain and 40m of 100mm diameter utility ducting
- Construction of Stone clad parapet walls
- The demolition of the existing bridge abutments.
- The construction of a new realigned road. Road Surface Area= 6200m2
- Supply and erection of Road Traffic Signs, delineators and road markings
- Ancillary road works.
- Removal of the temporary bridge and its supports.
- Associated landscaping of road verges and adjacent green area.
