Project Description:
This Project involved the construction of the following over a distance of approx 1km:
- Lowering of existing road by depth of 2m in rock, from Briarhill to the Tuam Road.
- Realignment/Widening of carriageway to include all associated drainage, services installation, pavement construction, hard and soft landscaping. Also included was all associated accommodation works for residences and businesses along the route.
- Particular challenges arising on the Job related to diversion of the Fibre Optic cable serving the Industrial Estate.
- Traffic management, pedestrian and cycle traffic access was maintained at all times.
