Project Description:
This Contract was part of the Dunshaughlin Sewerage Scheme, which provided for collection and treatment of wastewater generated in Dunshaughlin and its environment including adjoining areas along the Skane River. The Contract provided for the construction of new Wastewater Treatment Works and effluent outfall line in Castletown Tara and within Dunshaughlin.

- Construction of the following components of treatment works and effluent outfall line:-
- Inlet lift pumping station.
- Inlet building comprising inlet works and flume.
- 4 No. Aeration Tanks.
- 4 No. Final sedimentation tanks.
- 2 No. Return pumping station.
- 2 No. Stormwater tanks.
- Administration Building.
- Air blower house.
- Bund and building for chemical dosing plant.
- Sludge dewatering building.
- Sludge thickening and storage tanks.
- Workshop and stores building.
- ESB MV transformer house.
- Imported sludge screening facility.
- Interconnecting pipework, drainage lines, cable ducts and manholes.
- Washwater / drainage pumping stations.
- Clear water borehole and metering chamber.
- Access roads, fencing and landscaping.
- 1400 lin.m of 500 dia effluent outfall line.
- Installation of Mechanical and Electrical Plant and Equipment. Commissioning of same.
