Project Description:

Monasterevin Treatment Works Site:

  • Treatment works covers a total area of 1.25 ha.
  • Works include main treatment building to house chemical dosing room, aerators, filters, canteen, controls room, WC and Laboratory.  Also washwater settlement tank and Clearwater holding tank and pumping station.
  • Site development works included access roads, site landscaping and fencing.

Rathangan Treatment Works Site:

  • Treatment works covers a total area of 1,074 ha.
  • Works include a main treatment building to house chemical dosing room, filters, canteen, control room, WC and Laboratory.   Also a washwater settlement tank and a Clearwater holding tank and pumping station.
  • Site development works included access roads, site landscaping and fencing.

Reservoir at Rathangan

  • Reservoir capacity of 5,000 m3
  • Site development works include construction of control building, access road, site landscaping and fencing works.

Pipelaying:

  • Pipeline works consisted of 5km approximately of 200/300mm diameter raw water mains
  • 21km approximately of various diameter ductile iron gravity main and scour pipe
  • 600mm diameter piperam under the Dublin-Cork railway line.

Wellheads Works

  • 10 No. existing boreholes were developed as production wells with each wellhead protruding above ground level.
  • Structure constructed over each wellhead.
  • 10m x 10m hard standing, surface dressed, around each wellhead, protected with permanent security fencing and access gates.
