Galway – Salthill 110 kV Trenching & Ducting Contract
The Excavator is the primary tool for utility works this excavator is dressed up with a reliable quick hitch with an automatic-locking system thus allowing immediate and safe attachment exchange. Rubber blocks for the tracks may be required for some road surfaces and come in bolt-on or clip-on arrangements. Rock Breakers typically require large oil flows and can be interchanged with the buckets using quick hydraulic fittings on the oil hoses without loosing oil to the environment. The excavator mounted plate compactor has revolutionised trench reinstatement, it allows even the deepest sewer pipes to be backfilled effectively without subsequent settlement, and again the quick hydraulic couplings allow a speedy exchange on the excavator. A cam-shell grab is often used for deep excavations, it requires additional medium pressure hydraulic lines to operate, these, we now specify from the factory on all utility excavators. All excavators are controlled by a central electronic unit. This allows a skilled mechanic to set and store the correct hydraulic pressure and flow for each attachment thus allowing the operator to confidently change tasks i.e. Multi-task!
